How To Read Turn Order In Ironhollow Saga
Most people bounce off Ironhollow Saga because the combat looks busier than it is. The secret is the turn timeline at the top of the screen — once you actually read it, fights stop feeling random.
Every action you take changes where you land on that timeline. A fast light attack lets you act again sooner; a big heavy move pushes you back. So the question is never just 'what deals the most damage,' it's 'who acts next and what do I want to happen before they do.'
My favourite trick is using slow-acting abilities to delay a dangerous enemy past a key heal or buff. You effectively steal a turn. I cleared the first boss that way after losing to it twice by just swinging blindly.
Elemental weaknesses matter too, but they're mostly a damage bonus. The timeline is the real decision layer. Spend a couple of fights just watching how actions shuffle the order before you worry about optimising anything else.
Once it clicks, the whole game feels different — less like whack-a-mole and more like a little puzzle every turn.
